Description
Flying Ointment has been used for centuries to loosen the Spirit from the body in preparation for Spirit Flight/Astral Travel/Hedge-flying. One of the most persistent ideas about witches was that they flew on broomsticks, pitchforks, or animals’ backs to midnight meetings in far-off lands with the devil, demons, and other witches. This idea is thought to have come from Flying Ointment which was placed on each of the pulse points and occasionally genitalia (which you should not do with ours). In the 1400’s this was thought to have included hallucinogens that induced a dream like state or trance.
