Description
Wands serve a similar purpose to athames (ritual daggers), though the two objects have their distinct uses: an athame is used to command, whereas a wand is seen as more gentle, and is used to invite or encourage.
Wood: Hawthorn Length: 16″
A branch that was presented to me from a hedge in the heart of Wiltshire, England. There is a defensive power underlining it, like a mother fox baring her teeth to defend her cubs. The base of the wand has the ogham “huathe” which corresponds the wood on which it was carved. The carving is inlaid with dragons blood resin for and additional boost of power.
This wand has a gentle nature and would suit the virtues of a healer or fairy doctor. The name Leighheas is gaelic to mean “remedy” or “healing”.
